The Gagasan Rumpun Selangor Hulu Langat district tour came to an end on April 26, with the Raja Muda Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah, spending the whole day with residents in Ampang.
The Selangor prince started the day by having breakfast at the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council’s (MPAJ) Laman Selera (food court). He then visited the council’s anaerobic digester centre and went to see the development of the Melon City Agro project in Pandan Jaya.
Tengku Amir, who owns Selangor FC, also caught up with several students who joined a football clinic organised by the Red Giants at Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Muda in Ampang.
He then performed Friday prayers at Masjid Al-Ubudiah, Kampung Tasek Tambahan, Ampang, before meeting with some residents.
On the first day of the Hulu Langat tour on April 24, Tengku Amir was given a briefing on the area’s development plans by representatives from the district land office, MPAJ, Kajang Municipal Council, district education office, health office, and the district police chief.
This is the second leg of Gagasan Rumpun Selangor. Tengku Amir visited the Hulu Selangor district in February, where the programme was launched.
The programme will tour all eight districts in the state, to bring state leaders closer to the people, and to foster unity among Selangor residents. Some RM4.5 million has been allocated by the state government for this programme.
