Jadon Sancho, Paul Pogba can bring trophies back to Old Trafford

Akil Mansiz lives life in the fast lane as Sepang International Circuit’s senior public relations and communications executive, strategic communications.

If there is one thing he loves as much as his job, it is supporting Manchester United.

Although the Red Devils have not won a league title since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013, Akil is confident Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has the players to bring back the glory days.

Akil speaks to Twentytwo13 about Manchester United’s chances this season.

Manchester United bought several players this season. Which one excites you the most?

Akil: It has to be Jadon Sancho. He will score a ton of goals.

Do you see more players coming in before the end of the transfer window?

Akil: They should strengthen their defence, but it could be a matter of luck if it happens.

Can United get the best out of Paul Pogba this season, or should it sell him as his contract ends in June?

Akil: Pogba is ‘pogboommm’! He has been ‘the man’ in the opening two matches with five assists. Consistency is key. I hope he stays.

Can United finally regain the league title? If not champion, where do you see them ending up?

Akil: In football, anything can happen. The best team wins. And with United, there is always a chance of winning the Premier League. This season, maybe even the Champions League, too. I’m hoping that the team will go above and beyond. #GGMU

What is your opinion of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer?

Akil: Over the past two seasons, we’ve seen progress. The Norwegian is full of surprises.

What do you think of the Red Devils’ new kit?

Akil: The home shirt is wonderful!
