Supermarkets and neighbourhood stores will not run out of supplies as PLUS highways will be opened throughout the Movement Control Order (MCO).
PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) said its highways will continue to operate throughout the Movement Control Order (MCO) period as they are critical linkages for the nation
PLUS’ head corporate, community & public engagement, Syed Mohammed Idid Syed Ahmad Idid said the highways have stayed opened but it’s not for people to go ‘jalan-jalan’.
“It is for the trucks and lorries which have to send groceries or medical supplies across the border.
“Critical services such as the PLUSRonda and the toll-free PLUSLine 1800-88–0000 are still available 24-hours a day in the event of emergencies,” he said.
“However, all filtering, inspection and diversions for routes heading towards the highway are within the police’s authority and jurisdiction.”
He advised the public to contact the police hotline at 03-22663356 for latest updates on road diversions and inspection throughout this period.
PLUS also urged the public to adhere to the MCO and to remain at home in order to help flatten the spread of Covid-19 and more crucially to protect one’s health and family’s wellbeing.
