Dear diary,
Idiots abound and this is why the army has been called to help enforce the movement control order which was put in place to curb the spread of Covid-19.
On a brighter note, there are many kind souls out there but they shun the limelight as they prefer to do their deeds on the quiet.
Here’s how Day 3 of the Movement Control Order (MCO) has unfolded
7.47am: Lots of messages, mostly about the ‘stubborn doctor in the park’ who was mentioned in a Twentytwo13 story. It’s not rocket science, people.
8.09am: The ‘Captain Appreciation Club’ is alive and kicking as a couple of friends sent over ‘Vijayakanth MCO memes’.
9.45am: Amid all the jokes and warnings, some good news as the New York Post reports several drugs are being tested which can fight off the coronavirus. No news about pills to cure stupidity. Sigh!
10.54am: Speaking of which, another instalment of people are stupid, courtesy of Pipa Arbee (hey, we are waiting for your second column. You should have lots of time now, right)
What is so hard, #juststayathome
12.21pm: Istana Negara posts a video of our Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah taking a drive around the capital to observe how many people are obeying MCO.
12.27pm: Defence Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob announces the army will be mobilised on Sunday to help enforce the movement control order. Try jogging in the park now, doc.
12.56pm: Good news for those who don’t wash where the sun doesn’t shine. Plenty of loo rolls are available at Tesco Ara Damansara and Mercato Supermarket Hartamas Shopping Centre.
1.58pm: Received the best MCO-related video. Someone dubbed Azwan Ali’s voice on a The Rock promo. Hilarious. Thanks, M. Zul.
3.20pm: BernamaTV tweets list of hotline numbers for government agencies.

4.21pm: Health Ministry tweets that 12 of its healthcare workers and three from the private healthcare sector have been infected by Covid-19 virus. One of the 12 is in ICU, on the ventilator.
The tweet ends with these words: ‘Our simple message to the public today: Please help us to help you. #StayAtHome’
4.44pm: Former Malay Mail boss Frankie D’Cruz shared a Coronavirus Rhapsody by Comedian Dana Jay Bein.
I’ve lost my mind.
I wrote Coronavirus Rhapsody:
Is this a sore throat?
Is this just allergies?

5.40pm: 130 new cases of Covid-19 reported today, bringing the total cases nationwide at 1,030. Of the 130, 48 cases are linked to the Sri Petaling religious gathering. Twelve patients have recovered, bringing the total of full recovery to 87.
9.07pm: Sadly, the day ends with another Covid-19 death, bringing the total to three in Malaysia.
