The Badminton Asia Championships 2023 will go on as scheduled, according to Badminton Asia’s tweet this afternoon (2.33pm).
The event, scheduled from April 25-30 in Dubai, was earlier said to be in limbo.
On March 27, Badminton World Federation council member Datuk Kenny Goh, said the event was rumoured to have been cancelled.
However, Goh, on April 1, tweeted: “I was informally told that an emergency meeting was held, and had just ended. I also was informally told that Badminton Asia Championship(s) will proceed.”
The final eligibility list for BA Championship 2023 has just been sent out half an hour ago.
Seedings will be based on 4th April 2023, and the draw will be conducted on 11th April 2023.
So, it looks like it is good to go……
