Applications for SIGA Youth Council now open

Want to champion good governance in sport? Youths now have a platform to do so by being part of the Sport Integrity Global Alliance (SIGA) Youth Council.

Application for the programme is now open, giving aspiring young leaders, aged between 18 and 29, a platform to have their voices heard on issues related to sport integrity.

The first two cycles of the SIGA Youth Council have laid a formidable foundation, bringing together young leaders from various continents and backgrounds to design, deliver, and implement a range of impactful projects, initiatives, and events. Building on this success, the 2022-2023 class expanded its reach and influence, culminating in the release of the first-ever “SIGA Youth Council Survey: New Perceptions on Sport Integrity”.

The new 18-month term will commence in July. Key milestones include appointing a chair, vice-chair, secretary, and establishing an autonomous Action Plan. The SIGA Youth Council will also be responsible for hosting a youth-driven, thought-leadership event during the Sport Integrity Week 2024 in November.

The application deadline is on June 21. Ideal candidates should have a keen interest in sport, a positive and proactive attitude, a creative approach to global problems, and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
